Groupof Organic Optoelectronic Materials and Devices (DNL1607)
Groupleader: Prof. Dr. Xin Guo
Solar energy isclean, renewable, and inexhaustible. It is particularly significant for thesustainable development around the world to reasonably and effectively utilizethe solar energy. One of major ways for such utilizations is thesolar-to-electricity conversion, which relies upon the photovoltaic technologyor the solar cells. With an aim to realize highly efficient, stable, andlow-cost solar cells, the Group of Organic Optoelectronic Materials and Devices(DNL1607), affiliated to the Dalian National Laboratory for Clean Energy,Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, areconducting research focusing on the design and synthesis of novel organicsemiconducting materials and their applications in organic solar cells (OSCs)and perovskite solar cells (PSCs).
Our group makes useof synthetic skills to develop organic, polymer, and organic/inorganic hybridmaterials for applications in OSCs, PSCs, and other optoelectronic devices suchas OLEDs, OFETs, sensors, thermoelectric generators, photodetectors, andphotoswitchers. We also fabricate such devices using the homemade materials toevaluate their potential for applications. Several key materials for OSCs andPSCs have been prepared in our lab, and a power conversion efficiency of 10%has been achieved for OSCs, and almost 20% for PSCs, respectively. Labs for bothorganic synthesis and device fabrication/characterization have beenestablished, providing excellent conditions and environments for conductingscientific research.
We are always eager to have you joining in ourteam! Positions for candidates of master, Ph.D, joint master/Ph.D, postdoc, andresearch staff are available. If you major in chemistry, materials, physics, orrelated fields and are interested in research topics regarding OSCs, PSCs, andorganic optoelectronics, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Xin Guo via email of guoxin@dicp.ac.cn. You are very welcome!
